Scope Surveying started in 2004 when James Purdie moved to the Hunter Valley following 6 years working throughout North-West Queensland. James worked for a local surveying company in Mount Isa that did all forms of surveying, but specialised in mining and construction. During his time in Queensland, James undertook post-graduate studies and became a Registered Surveyor. He also worked and studied alongside another graduate surveyor with a shared career focus, Steve Egan. 

Steve spent a similar amount of time in Mount Isa before moving to the Sunshine Coast in 2002 where he helped to establish a surveying firm in Maroochydore. The lure of the Hunter Valley was too great however, and in 2007, Steve joined the growing Scope Surveying team as a fellow Director and Registered Surveyor. 

Scope continued to expand and forge strong, lasting business relationships that have enabled the company to establish a solid base in the Hunter Valley that focuses on providing unparalleled service and successful delivery of every job. 

Scope will go anywhere in Australia and we have surveyed in Queensland, Victoria, the Northern Territory and throughout NSW; but most of our work is based in the Hunter Valley and surrounding areas.
